Yoga Workshops in Bath

2022 YOGA WORKSHOPS

I am currently on maternity leave (starting Jan 2022).

I will be running some of my Restorative Yin Yoga Workshops later in the year – I’ll post confirmed dates below. These will focus on calming our nervous systems so that we can rest well and stay as healthy as possible. The single most important thing for our bodies (ok, except water!) is good sleep and rest. Many of us struggle to switch off, to sleep well, or even at all. So my workshops will help teach you how to activate your para-sympathetic nervous system more regularly, to allow you to truly rest and restore.

If you have any questions related to the content of these workshops or whether you think you should come along please contact me to discuss.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT YIN YOGA, RESTORATIVE YOGA & YOGA NIDRA…

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga consists of a series of long-held, passive (mainly) floor based poses that work the lower part of the body. The hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine are rich in connective tissue, which the longer held postures in Yin targets. Over time, Yin yoga can undo some of the damage to our connective tissue caused by lifestyle (posture), injury or stress.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is all about slowing down and letting go. Postures are held for longer times than Yin (think 5 min minimum up to 20 mins). We also use a lot of props to fully support the body and allow the body to sink and release into the support. It’s the best thing for frazzled minds and bodies!

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra translates to mean ‘yogic sleep’ – it is the state of dynamic sleep. In this meditation practice we learn to relax consciously. It’s a systematic method used to create deep and complete relaxation physically, mentally & spiritually.
